CNC Mill Certification (CAM Course)

Description: Fusion 360 is a CAD (computer aided design)/CAM (computer aided manufacturing) software that takes your ideas and transforms them into a reality. Fusion 360 enable students to create 3D models and program machining processes. Tormach P1100 is a small vertical CNC (computer numerical control) machine designed to machine aluminum. The Tormach materializes your CAD design via subtractive manufacturing. In this course, student will gain an understanding of basic Fusion 360 CAM functions, including: creating setups, setting origins, creating 2D toolpaths, basic 3D toolpaths, and exporting/ transfering the toolpath from Fusion 360 to Tormach. Students will also gain basic knowledge about types of cutting tools and materials. By the end of the course, each student will make an aluminum model of a CAD design using Fusion 360 CAM and Tormach PCNC. Prerequisite: CNC Mill Certification (CAD Course) or proficiency in CAD Software.
